This week, our primary and secondary schools combined their resources to host a three-day holiday camp for the young people that would be joining North Star 240° in September. The group included students from North Star 82° but also other schools in the South West.
Both school’s engagement teams (and the amazing Ms Watt) organised a tour of the school, team-building activities and tonnes of sport to get our kids active. The group also got to go to Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf and embarrass Mr Palmer, who clearly had never played golf before.
The transition camp was a great chance for our students to get a head start in becoming comfortable with their new surroundings and feeling safe in their place of learning. It was also a chance to build relationships with staff members and of course have a load of fun to start the summer holidays right.
Bring on September!
