This year’s Careers Week was definitely the busiest and best we’ve ever had at North Star 240°. With the help of Bristol Works, we partnered up with a variety of employers in sectors such as hospitality, architecture, building development and barbering to offer sessions in and out of school that are aimed at giving our young people some experience in the working world and inspire them to follow their ambitions.
One of the highlights had to be the visit to Mollie’s Motel and Restaurant where our students learned how to make spectacular milkshakes and, of course, they had to try them just to make sure they were up to scratch!
We would like to say a massive thank you to Bristol Works and all of the employers for giving their valuable time to our students. Every session was incredibly engaging and will have impacted how our young people think about their futures.
